Yarn Ball Winder Questions!?
I am thinking about purchasing a Yarn Ball Winder and every video I watch on youtube has an Umbrella swift that feeds the winder. Is it neccessary to purchase an Umbrella swift to use the Yarn Ball Winder accuratly? If it is neccesary to purchase the Umbrella swift then I will, but if I can still wind balls of yarn without a problem then I won't buy it. Also any links or additional advice that you have would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
There are several different types of swifts, and the umbrella is only one of them. It's very versatile, so comes in quite handy for any size of skein you have. But you can build them quite easily (or get your husband to build it for you). I feel that it is a very useful tool, and you will really enjoy having one.
