What is the best software to make sewing patterns?
I am an amateur with no desire to turn professional. As I sew, and I prefer do not clutter my house with a group of supermodels. It seems to me that using a computer to design simple outfits for my family (my children grow so fast!) would be easier. I do not want to spend lots of money. A free demo would be good to ensure that the program is really what I want before investing money in it. Thank you!
Best is in the eye of the beholder. None of the modeling programs I've seen a balance between employers and some really strange results, so for me it's even easier to drape and draft manually. For recent reviews, see Threads magazine, May 2009, No. 142. That's the problem with the orange cap and a dressform about it. Have you watched the series of books KwikSew? They offer models base in a range of sizes, as well as information and ideas on adapting to the different designs. Exceptionally well written and easy to grounds work. And no need for dummies if you have the child at hand.
