Will this affect my knitting a lot?
Gauge line is one greater than the model, and there are formatting necessary. The model is 24 - mine is 25. So it will change the shirt a lot? It's online as children Unicorn 'pattern hood. This is my first So I really want to do it properly. Thank you!
Wellll, the easy answer is probably not as long as you knit your pieces to length specified in the model. If you found your points gauge, the gauge row will probably agree. That being said, it depends how much formatting is involved. If training is for the armholes of a scheme of children, I doubt this will do much difference from armhole tend to form more than a few lines anyway. If you shape the hoodie, but pay attention to the length you knit before starting shape. Again, the reason must be specified. If you are not intimidated by mathematics, there are calculations you could do: Model says to work x number of rows. x divided by 24 (to gauge the trend line), 4 times (by measuring line) = number of inches to work Eg. 12rows/24 =. 5 x 4 "= 2" number of inches to work at work divided by 4 "(gauge), that answer multiplied by 25 (your gauge line). 2" / 4 "=. 5 x 25 (your gauge line) = 12.5 lines needed for your gauge. Is that enough difference to change the size? For 1 / 2 in a row probably not, if more, then if you measure the inches you're supposed to. Sorry, I'm kind of a math geek and adapt and develop my own version of knitwear, so that mathematics is second nature. Congratulations to work on this!
