Double Pointed Knitting needle help!?
I have four double pointed knitting needles and recently the yarn is becoming harder and harder move along on the needles. At this point i'm thinking that the needles are done and I should just throw them out but does anybody know how to make the needles more slippery and easier to knit with? thankyou for your help!

If you are having issues moving stitches on aluminum needles, you need to determine the reason, not just throw out the needles. Are you making the stitches on the barrel or the point? If the point, then the stitch is too small to make movement easy and you need to remember to make your stitch on the barrel of the needle instead. Are the needles sticky when you have knit all the stitches off them? Grab some dish soap & hot water & removed whatever residue is on them. A lot of knitters like to use hand creams & lotions to keep their skin soft. If this has not been fully absorbed before you start knitting, it can be transmitted to the needles and cause a buildup that will inhibit your yarn's ability to slide on the needles. Is there something on/in the yarn that is making it sticky? Gently wash the yarn to remove whatever residue there may be in it causing it to not slide easily. Finally, are you pulling each, individual, stitch tight as you do it? This increases the tension on several stitches each time you do. This will continue to squeeze down on the needles & make movement difficult.
