Crochet Granny Hexagons - Getting the shape?
I have a photo of a crocheted granny hexagon. It is basically done just like a granny square, only in hexagon shape. My question is how many single chains between groups of 3 dcs do I do to get the shape? I keep getting a circle instead of a hexagon. Tips?
Center is 6 groups of 3 dc, next round is 12 groups of 3 dc, next is 18 groups of 3 dc.
I wouldn't mind buying the booklet (Bernat House Warming), but I know this is a common pattern. Thanks!
I only have 1 ch gaps in all my rounds -
In Round 2 I was making two sets of 2dc in each gap separated by 1 ch
In Round 3 I alternated a single set of 2dc with two sets of 2dc (to make the 'corners') - all separated by just 1 ch
