What hook for a 3 or 5 cotton thread size?
I am buying some thread and hook on line (because the small yarn store next to my house just closed 
)
So, I wanna make a yarmulke (as known as kippah or skullcap).
The first one I did was with a DMC cotton pearl #8 and I used a hook 10 (1.30MM).
That one took me AGES to finish, so now I wanna use a little thicket thread ... so I would go for a 5 or a 3? (which one would you recommend?) And which Steel hood would you recommend? I was thinking of a 1/2.75MM?
Please help!! Nobody seem to know these things! Even when I call stores!!!

You'll probably need a steel 4 to 6 for the size 5 thread and a 1 to 4 for the size 3. The larger diameter the t hread, the larger the hook you use.
